An established community market operated by a local non-profit is looking to add a Community Market Assistant to provide customer service and operational support on an ongoing temporary basis.
In this role, you'll assist market customers, help volunteers get set up, and receive and stock food donations. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to positively impact the community while gaining valuable experience. You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy working with diverse groups of people and have a knack for leadership.
Community Market Assistant Duties:
- Provide friendly customer service to market guests
- Coordinate and support volunteers
- Receive, organize, and stock food donations
- Assist with market setup and breakdown
- Complete other projects as assigned
Schedule:
- Monday: 10:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
- Tuesday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Wednesday: 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Pay:
$23.95 per hour
Community Market Assistant Requirements:
- At least 1 year of customer service experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with and support a wide range of people
- Comfortable performing physical tasks like lifting and stocking
