About Wolfson Children's Hospital
Wolfson Children's Hospital is the only children's hospital in the region, and is ranked by U.S. News & World Report among the best children's hospitals in the U.S. We're a part of Baptist Health, which is recognized as a top place to work in health care and features several centers of excellence, including Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baptist Heart Hospital, Baptist Neurological Institute and Wolfson Children's Hospital.
Provides education for the children diagnosed with diabetes and their families both on an inpatient and an outpatient basis. Provide patient education on an outpatient basis as needed when seen in clinic. Support the Endocrinologists in clinic visits with patients and families ensure the family is comfortbale with the child's meter. Educators attend community events as needed to promote the Diabates Center, coordinates with school nurses to ensure they are educated in Diabetes management and serves as a community resource for education and training.
