Position: Community Outreach Coordinator
Location: The SPEAK Center for Language and Learning, Chandler, AZ
Pay: $22/hour-$25/hour
Schedule: Tuesday - Friday 9am-5:30pm

Position Summary:
The Community Outreach Coordinator will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining relationships with community partners, universities, and families. This position will focus on planning, executing and marketing initiatives that promote awareness of our services and enhance our community engagement. Additionally, this role will serve as the primary point person for the clinic's culture committee, ensuring a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Community Outreach:
- Plan, coordinate, execute and attend community outreach events, such as health fairs, career fairs, conferences, educational workshops, awareness days and special events such as the Fall Festival and Sensory Friendly Movie Nights.
- Promote clinic services to community members and local organizations.
- Fundraising and sponsorship requests.
- Promote job postings to pertinent audiences.
- Creating and publishing the staff and parent newsletters.
- Develop and manage social media posts and marketing materials.
- Serve as the business development contact for the Chandler Chamber of Commerce and other partners.
- Order marketing supplies and track inventors for marketing and events.
- Social Media, Staff Newsletters and Community Newsletters:
- Create and publish Staff Newsletter Weekly.
- Create and publish Caregiver Newsletter Monthly.
- Email blasts as scheduled for the clinic and HCBS (hiring, CEO updates, etc..).
- Monthly Knowledge Nook Resource.
- META (Instagram and Facebook) posts and online presence.
- Collaborating and Reporting:
- Work closely with the Clinical Director and other team members to align outreach efforts with clinic goals.
- Engage with donors as needed for non-profit support.
- Provide regular updates and reports on outreach activities and their impact.
- Maintain marketing calendar that includes plans to promote events and awareness dates to all communication channels.
- Maintain admin team calendar of events.
- Additional tasks as assigned to support the administrative team.
- Culture Committee Leadership:
- Serve as the primary point person for the clinic's culture committee.
- Facilitate committee meetings to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Actively engage on messaging platform to engage team, promote events and share celebrations.
- Onboarding meeting with new staff members to share participation opportunities.
- Plan, implement and attend initiatives that enhance team morale, engagement, and collaboration.
- Work closely with team to create engaging events and updating lobby slide show with current events and programs.
- Take lead on gathering and storing shared team photos/ videos.
- University Liaison:
- Build and maintain partnerships with universities and academic programs by managing online access portals and coordinating guest speaking and tabling events.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for university faculty and students.
- Represent TSC at university events and co-host virtual speaking events.
- Intern Coordination:
- Oversee the placement of university interns within the clinic.
- Coordinate onboarding and ensure interns have a productive and positive experience.
- Attend and host intern orientations, mid-way check-ins and completion celebrations.
- Free Screening Days:
- Organize, coordinate and confirm attendance for free screening days for children in the community.
- Ensure proper scheduling, staffing, and marketing for screening events.
- Coordinate with additional hosts for screening events.
- Sensory Friendly Summer Camp Planning and Implementation:
- Design and coordinate engaging summer camp programs and lessons aligned with the clinic's mission and goals.
- Lead and collaborate with the clinical team to develop themes, activities, and schedules.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., communications, education, healthcare, or social work) preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in community outreach, marketing, event planning, or working in a clinical or educational setting is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Social media management and presence.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to build and nurture professional relationships.
- Ability to track data for emails, donation, budgets, and event opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Google Suite and other administrative tools.
- Proficiency in Canva, MailChimp, Eventbrite preferred.
- Experience managing non-profit efforts or 501c3, preferred.
Work Environment:
- This position requires occasional evening and weekend availability to support events.
- The role is in-person at The SPEAK Center for Language and Learning.
- Occasional coverage for front desk team members (lunch, appts, etc.)

Reporting:
The Community Outreach Coordinator will report directly to the Clinical Director.
