Community Outreach Educator with the Calaveras Crisis Center - Part Time
Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Community Outreach Educator is responsible for providing education and resources relating to domestic violence and sexual assault to school aged children, their parents and community members in Calaveras County. The Outreach Educator will work extensively with schools within Calaveras County and will be responsible for program development and presentation. The Outreach Educator will maintain clear documentation of all educational presentations and their attendance as well as maintain educational materials. The Calaveras Crisis Center provides services for victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. In addition, The Crisis Center offers advocacy and counseling for child victims of crime in local schools. Requirements Education/Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must have at least one-year experience working in the social services and/or education field
AA Degree preferred
Early Childhood unites preferred Special Requirements
Ability to pass a criminal record clearance, Live Scan and Child Abuse Index clearance
Successful completion of 70 hours of Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Advocacy training
Willingness to work irregular hours, attend evening meetings, and travel as required by the organization
