This role enhances Altura's brand, reputation, and visibility through strategic outreach, sponsorships, events, social media, and community engagement efforts. Responsibilities include leading the planning and execution of employee, member, and community events; overseeing sponsorship and employee recognition programs; managing Community Impact resources with strong fiscal responsibility; developing strategic partnerships; and serving as the primary liaison for military outreach initiatives. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Community Outreach and Events - Serve as primary relationship manager for key strategic partners, coordinating partnership support activities and events, and ensuring the successful execution of mutually beneficial initiatives.
- Lead the planning and execution of high-profile community events, ensuring exceptional experiences, strong stakeholder engagement, and alignment with Altura's community impact and brand objectives.
- Oversee employee, member, and community events, providing direction to the outreach team and ensuring initiatives are executed effectively, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships within the military community and March Air Reserve Base, serving as Altura's representative on the Military Affairs Council and with key military stakeholders to strengthen partnerships, facilitate outreach opportunities, and ensure Altura's active presence and support through strategic sponsorships, community engagement, and military-focused events.
Brand Awareness - Oversee Altura's promotional merchandise and apparel program, ensuring branded items align with organizational objectives, community engagement strategies, and event goals. Manage inventory and budget resources while identifying innovative promotional solutions that enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Work with Marketing and Social Media to coordinate outreach and promotional efforts across multiple channels in conjunction with member and community events to build awareness and excitement.
- Lead the operational oversight of Altura's sponsorship program, providing direction to staff, ensuring successful execution of sponsorship commitments.
- Oversee the execution of Altura's social media program, including the development of content calendars, campaigns, and engagement initiatives. Monitor performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure content is aligned with organizational goals, brand standards, and community engagement objectives.
Employee Culture - Lead the planning and execution of Altura's signature employee events, including the Annual Kickoff, Summer Party, and Holiday Celebration. Directs all phases of event development, including concept creation, budgeting, vendor management, logistics, communications, and cross-functional coordination to deliver engaging, high-impact employee experiences.
- Oversee Altura's employee recognition program through the development of engagement campaigns, performance measurement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and oversee regular employee morale pop-ups including on-site parties, lunch at the branches, and weekly/monthly ongoing engagement activities.

Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises two positions: Outreach Coordinators and Social Media Specialist. Provides indirect leadership to the full regional support organization. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with related policies, procedures, applicable state and federal laws, and the credit union's strategic plan. - Event planning certification or project management certification a plus.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum of two (2) years' leadership experience, including demonstrated success leading a team.
- Industry Experience: Minimum of three (3) years' progressive experience in event planning.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Demonstrated expertise in community engagement, event management, strategic partnerships, employee engagement, and brand-building initiatives.
- Experience leading complex projects and programs involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, community organizations, and cross-functional teams, with responsibility for budgeting, planning, and execution.
- Experience overseeing social media content strategies and editorial calendars, including the ability to align content with organizational goals, community engagement objectives, and brand standards.
- Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to represent the organization in community settings, lead meetings, and communicate with executive leadership, community partners, employees, and members.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to establish goals, develop performance metrics, evaluate program effectiveness, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
