      Position Summary
      The Community Outreach Partner plays a key role in building relationships and fostering collaboration within an assigned region to expand workforce, education, and training opportunities. This position requires a proactive, motivated individual who can engage with local businesses, community organizations, school leaders, elected officials, and nonprofits to drive economic growth, workforce development, and stability.
       
      Key Responsibilities
      Community Engagement & Relationship Building
      • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community members, businesses, organizations, stakeholders, and partners.
      • Attend and actively participate in community events, meetings, and initiatives to assist in identified capacity building efforts.
      • Support adult re-entry programs in collaboration with recovery-to-work agencies, drug coalitions, and family court initiatives.
      • Monitor workforce trends and employment needs within the local business community.
      • Conduct community presentations and facilitate workforce development programs.
      • Maintain accurate records and contact databases for Future Plans/GRIT initiatives.
      • Represent and support the overall mission of Future Plans and The GRIT Project in identified community relations.
      • Attend all Future Plans and GRIT Project meetings and training sessions.
      • Perform additional duties as assigned to support program success.
      • Data collection, reporting and dissemination for stakeholders, business partners, and organizations.
      School Partnerships & Student Support
      • Work collaboratively with Career Navigators and school workforce staff to assist in facilitating all aspects of the 5-step process which includes: Assessing, Coaching, Discovery, Preparing and Placing.
      Additional duties as assigned
       
       
      Qualifications & Skills
      Qualifications
      • Must reside in one of the following counties in Ohio within the assigned service area: Athens, Belmont, Coshocton, Fairfield, Gallia, Guernsey, Hocking, Lawrence, Licking, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Muskingum, Noble, Perry, Tuscarawas, Vinton, and Washington.
      • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in business, education, or community leadership.
      • College experience preferred but not required.
      • Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and minimum state-required auto insurance.
      • Must possess or be willing to acquire a personal cell phone (monthly reimbursement of $50 provided).
      • Must pass a background check in accordance with state regulations.
      Skills
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 including Outlook and virtual meeting platforms
      • Ability to interact with individuals at various levels of business, education, and community leadership.
      • Experience in consensus-building, meeting facilitation, and program coordination.
      • Confidence in public speaking and delivering presentations.
      • Strong communication skills with both youth and adults. 
      • Ability to proactively develop and maintain partnerships with schools, workforce agencies, stakeholders and community organizations.
