VMSC Emergency Medical Services, is transforming how care is delivered outside the hospital. We provide physician-directed, in-home medical services that extend the reach of EMS beyond 911 response. Our programs include hospital-at-home, chronic disease management, and post-discharge follow-up, bringing care directly to patients when and where they need it most.

As a Community Paramedic, you’ll use your advanced paramedic skills in a new way — delivering scheduled, patient-centered care in the home and community. Instead of racing from call to call, you’ll have the time to build connections, improve outcomes, and partner with physicians and care teams to reduce hospital readmissions and support long-term health.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-home medical assessments, treatments, and follow-ups under physician-directed protocols.
  • Provide care for patients with chronic conditions, post-acute recovery needs, and urgent-but-not-emergent concerns.
  • Serve as a bridge between EMS, primary care, and specialty providers.
  • Document care in electronic medical records and coordinate with the broader healthcare team.
  • Support patients by connecting them to appropriate resources and follow-up care.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Pay: $39/hour for EMT-P, $40/hour for EMT-P with CP-C certification
  • Schedule: Fixed 12-hour shifts (8am-8pm), 3 shifts per week

Our Benefits Package (one of the most robust in the region):

  • $0 copays & $0 deductibles on medical insurance — you and your family receive care without hidden costs.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) with employer match.
  • Generous paid time off (vacation, sick leave, holidays).
  • AD&D and life insurance coverage.
  • Uniform allowance and wellness programs.

Qualifications

  • Paramedic certification (Pennsylvania or National Registry eligible), CP-C certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of field experience as a Paramedic preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently in the field.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and practicing outside the traditional 911 system.

Why Join Us?

This isn’t just another medic job — it’s your chance to be part of a new model of care that values both patients and providers. Along with competitive pay, you’ll receive one of the best benefits packages in the industry — including $0 copays, $0 deductibles, and unmatched family coverage.
