    Job Description

    Position Summary:

    The Community Partner Liaison for Internship & Community Services is responsible for creating and maintaining strategic partnerships with local businesses and community organizations to generate internship, community service, and opportunities for clients. This role requires proactive outreach, fieldwork, and collaboration with internal staff to promote opportunities and facilitate client referrals. The Liaison works closely with the Supervisor of Post Assessment and program teams to ensure successful placement and follow-up for clients.

     

    Essential Functions:

    • Establish partnerships with local and community businesses to create opportunities for client internships, community service and alternative engagement; this includes colds call, field work and attending partnership events.
    • Achieve and maintain monthly goals which include referring a specific number of clients to internship, community service and alternative engagement and creating a specific number of partnerships each month.
    • Formalize all partnerships by executing Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and submitting required documentation for internal and funder approval.
    • Collaborate with community-based organizations and HRA programs to accurately track partnership data, maintain a tracker of all partnerships.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for HRA programs, community partners and internship sites by responding to inquiries and providing ongoing support.
    • Maintain up to date information regarding enrollment requirements, slot availability and partner liaison for each internship and community service provider.
    • Promote internship, community service, alternative engagement and other opportunities to clients during group workshop sessions and one-on-one screening meetings, collaborate with PACE staff to formalize referrals.
    • Meet with clients to discuss training and education opportunities, including internship and job opportunities and assist with enrollment processes. Obtain post enrollment feedback and weekly attendance.
    • Prepare and finalize internship/community service candidates for enrollment and acceptance into appropriate assignments; this includes ensuring they have all required documents, have completed all applications (online and written) and have a formal referral.
    • Update the client resource guide at least once a month. This guide includes resources for clothing, food pantry, training, housing and other resources applicable to client’s needs.
    • Update bulletin boards to reflect updated client resources, at least once a month; this includes flyers for training, job fairs, hiring events, community events and resources.
    • Maintain and execute documentation and workflow through computer-based programs and technology that draws on basic software/computer skill set.
    • May be assigned other tasks and duties reasonably related to their job responsibilities.

     

        Salary $58,000

    Knowledge, Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree preferred with three (3) years related experience. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, must have an Associate's Degree with a minimum of five (5) year of work related experience or must have a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of seven (7) year of work related experience.
    • 3 years related experience working with public assistance population and/or working in employment services or in social service­ related field.
    • Client / customer service and relationship management experience.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Basic computer software literacy and computer usage experience.
    • Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work a flexible weekday schedule and to travel to various locations to carry out assigned duties.
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish or another common language is a plus.
