Every program is designed with our clients in mind; we are "client-centric."JOB PURPOSEThe Community Resource Coordinator serves as a key operational and client-facing team member responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Dolores Huerta Resource Center. This position combines administrative coordination, resource navigation, community engagement, program support, event logistics, outreach, and data management responsibilities. The Community Resource Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring community members are connected to services efficiently while supporting leadership in maintaining effective and responsive operations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESClient Services and Resource NavigationServe as the primary point of contact for clients, visitors, community partners, and service providersConduct Rapid Intakes to assess immediate client needs and facilitate referrals to internal and external resourcesProvide resource navigation assistance related to food, housing, employment, healthcare, education, transportation, and financial assistance programsAssist participants with enrollment and account creation for educational opportunities including CSN HSE/HSC and ESL programsTranslate forms, flyers, outreach materials, reports, and client communications between English and SpanishCommunity Outreach and Program CoordinationPromote DHRC classes, workshops, support groups, and community events through direct outreach, phone calls, community engagement, and follow-up communicationAssist with community outreach efforts and represent DHRC at external events when assignedCoordinate client appointments, maintain calendars, and manage scheduling for programs, workshops, providers, and community eventsTrack program attendance, enrollment, participation outcomes, and community engagement metricsSupport onboarding activities for volunteers, interns, and service providersEvent Logistics and OperationsCoordinate logistics for workshops, outreach activities, provider events, community celebrations, and resource fairsManage event registrations, room setup, supply distribution, volunteer coordination, and participant communicationsManage office inventory and purchasing requests for programs, events, and daily operationsCoordinate vendor communication and supply procurement activitiesCollaborate with leadership to identify operational improvements and streamline client service processesData Management and ReportingPerform quality assurance reviews of Salesforce records and assist with accurate data entry and reportingMaintain electronic filing systems and ensure proper record retention practicesOversee survey distribution and collection efforts while ensuring completion targets are metAssist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirementsPerform other duties as assignedREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIESMission Alignment: Strong connection to the values and work of The Just One ProjectBilingual communication in English and Spanish with ability to translate written materials accuratelyClient-facing service skills with experience supporting diverse and vulnerable populationsResource navigation and knowledge of community-based services including food, housing, healthcare, employment, and financial assistanceProgram coordination including scheduling, tracking participation, and managing logistics across multiple concurrent activitiesEvent planning and logistics management from setup through executionData entry, recordkeeping, and quality assurance using Salesforce or similar database systemsProficiency in Microsoft Office and Google WorkspaceStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks accuratelyIndependent decision-making and problem-solving in a fast-paced, client-centered environmentInventory and purchasing coordination including vendor communication and supply managementAbility to represent the organization professionally in both office and community settingsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCERequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Bilingual English/Spanish required given the demographics of the community served.2+ years experience in administration, community outreach, customer service, workforce development, education support, case management support, or nonprofit operations.2+ years experience working in a nonprofit, municipal, education, or community resource environment.PreferredAssociate degree preferredExperience using Salesforce, HMIS, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and database management systemsStrong organizational, project coordination, and communication skillsAbility to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and professionalismWORK SCHEDULE AND CLASSIFICATIONThis position is scheduled Tuesday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM; Saturday 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM, approximately 40 hours per weekEvening, weekend, event-based, or on-call work may be required depending on operational needsThis position is classified as Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards ActTRAVEL REQUIREMENTSThis position requires travel to perform essential job duties including community outreach, external events, and partner site visits. A valid unrestricted Nevada driver's license, reliable personal transportation, and compliance with the organization's insurability requirements are required.
