Strategic Initiatives & Projects | Full-Time | Salary + Commission POSITION SUMMARY Newtown Athletic Club is looking for a Utility Sales Representative - a flexible, self-motivated sales professional who thrives on variety and thrives on the phone. This role does not sit inside one fixed pipeline or one fixed offer. Instead, it moves with the club: wherever NAC's leadership has identified a priority initiative - a new program launch, a re-engagement campaign, a seasonal promotion, a membership push, or a project that needs a dedicated sales driver - this person steps in, learns it quickly, and sells it. This is a role built for someone who wants ownership, likes being handed a goal and a phone, and gets energy from hitting a number. You'll work closely with club leadership to understand the priority of the moment, then execute the outbound calls, follow-up, and conversions needed to make that initiative succeed. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Serve as the dedicated sales resource for NAC's current strategic priorities across departments - this could be anything from retail sales, summer camp enrollment calls, re-engagement of members to get them booked for a health strategy sessions, new member welcome calls to get them involved, or outreach to members with HSA/FSA funds to use at NAC - just to name a few! • Make a high volume of outbound calls each day to prospects, leads, and past members tied to whatever initiative is active. • Own follow-up and conversion for assigned campaigns, working leads from first contact through close. • Work closely with club leadership and the marketing/sales team to understand the goals, talking points, and success metrics of each new project before jumping in. • Track activity and results (calls, conversations, appointments, conversions) and report progress against goals. • Represent NAC's brand and voice professionally and warmly on every call, and in every in-person interaction. • Bring ideas back to leadership on what's working and what isn't, helping refine scripts and approach in real time. • Stay ready to pivot: one month this may mean birthday party lead re-engagement, the next it may mean a new class or program launch, a seasonal join promotion, or a new club initiative altogether. WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT Most sales roles own one pipeline. This one is built around flexibility. You'll be the person leadership turns to when a new priority needs a sales push behind it - which means variety, visibility, and the chance to directly influence which initiatives succeed. The right person will see this not as instability, but as an opportunity to stay engaged, keep learning, and make an outsized impact across the club. WHO YOU ARE • Self-motivated - you don't need to be told twice to pick up the phone. • Genuinely enjoy calling: outbound, follow-up, and reconnecting with cold or lapsed leads energizes you. • Super personable - people like talking to you, and you build rapport fast, in person and on the phone. • Comfortable with change - new project, new script, new goal? You adjust quickly and stay positive. • Organized enough to manage multiple active campaigns and keep leads from falling through the cracks. • Coachable and collaborative - willing to take direction from leadership and adapt your approach based on feedback. • Results-driven - motivated by hitting targets and earning commission on top of your base. • Prior sales, call center, membership sales, or customer-facing experience preferred; health club or fitness industry experience is a plus but not required. COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE • Base salary: $55,000, commensurate with experience. • Commission available on top of base salary, tied to campaign and initiative performance. • Full-time, in-person role at Newtown Athletic Club WHY NEWTOWN ATHLETIC CLUB NAC is a fast-moving, growth-oriented club where sales and programming initiatives are always evolving. This role sits close to leadership, offers real variety day to day, and gives a driven salesperson the chance to make a visible impact across multiple areas of the business rather than being in a single lane. |
