Community Service Work Crew Supervisor - LaGrange (Part Time)

Purpose Of The Job:  To ensure that Community Service work is performed in a timely, safe, and efficient manner by all defendants.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

1. Reports promptly any altercations, no-shows, or non-compliance of offenders to the Community Service Team Leader.
2. Responsible for documentation and verbally reporting anything that affects the everyday operations of the program.
3. Redirect anti-social attitudes/beliefs and affirm pro-social attitudes and beliefs.
4. Supervises work crew supervisors to ensure uniformity.
5. Supervises work crews of up to 8 offenders at one time, and maintains security of worksites.
6. Collect urine / saliva samples as needed.
7. Maintains vehicle and all equipment.
8. Repairs or replaces equipment and reports the same to immediate supervisor.
9. Coordinates with user agency regarding work task and date to be completed.
10. Enforces rules of the program with all offenders under his/her supervision.
11. Report any messages of significance to the appropriate people in an attempt to keep all staff up to date on current events.
12. Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or Executive Director.

Qualifications:

      Education and/or Experience Required at Entry:  Experience dealing with offenders, Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement experience, High school graduate / GED

     Skills, Abilities, Special Licenses or Certificate:  Multi-tasking, Organized, Self-Motivated, Basic Computer skills, Ability and Willingness to Learn, Ability to work flexible hours.  Understand and use the principles of evidenced based practices as a guide in interactions with program participants.
