Job Summary
The City of Bellevue's Parks & Community Services Department is seeking a confident, forward-thinking, and culturally aware leader to serve as our next Community Services Supervisor. This key position oversees the Parks Scheduling Office and plays a central role in connecting people, places, and programs through effective facility management, community event coordination, and strong relationship development.
The Parks Scheduling Office oversees permitting and reservations for outdoor park spaces, select indoor facilities, athletic fields, and seasonal park vendors. The Community Services Supervisor provides leadership for daily operations, guiding staff who support rentals and community events, managing the Robinswood House contract, contributing significantly to the 4th of July celebration, and partnering closely with park maintenance teams to ensure parks, fields, and facilities are safe, prepared, and well-supported for public use. Additionally, this role leads key citywide initiatives as a core member and Chair of the Special Events Committee, overseeing event permitting and advancing activities that strengthen Bellevue's economic vitality and sense of belonging.
This role requires strong political awareness, cultural competence, and the ability to collaborate across departments, schools, and community organizations. The ideal candidate brings experience in athletic field scheduling, facility rentals, special event coordination, contract management and park operations.

A hybrid work schedule is available for this position after an orientation period. Full-time remote work is not an available option. Once hired, employees must reside in the State of Washington and within reasonable commuting distance to Bellevue City Hall.

Paydays - The City of Bellevue pays employees on the 8th and the 23rd of each month (24 pay periods per year).
