Prince William County Community Services (CS) is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Division Manager to lead our Community Support Division. About This Role:

As a member of the Community Services Senior Management Team, the Behavioral Health Division Manager provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and clinical direction for the Community Support Division. This position oversees multiple evidence-based community behavioral health programs and ensures high-quality, compliant, and effective service delivery.

The Division Manager provides leadership and supervision to Program Managers and professional staff while ensuring compliance with Community Services Board policies, Prince William County policies, Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) regulations, and applicable federal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for community-based behavioral health programs.

Supervise and mentor Program Managers and professional staff.

Ensure high-quality, recovery-oriented, person-centered clinical services.

Develop, implement, and evaluate programs that meet the needs of individuals in the community.

Collaborate with internal leadership and community partners to improve service delivery.

Establish and maintain clinical standards, quality assurance measures, and regulatory compliance.

Develop and implement interagency partnerships and collaborative agreements.

Participate in organizational planning, policy development, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Recommend and support personnel actions including recruitment, performance management, and staff development.

Monitor program performance, budgets, and outcomes to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, or a closely related behavioral health field.

Seven (7) years of experience in an interdisciplinary, community-based behavioral health environment.

Three (3) years of experience developing, managing, and overseeing behavioral health programs and clinical services.

Five (5) years of professional supervisory experience.

Current unrestricted license as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP) in Commonwealth of Virginia.

Preferences:

Ideal candidates will have experience:

  • Planning, administering, directing, and evaluating behavioral health programs within a Community Services Board or public behavioral health system.
  • Collaborating with executive leadership and other Division Managers to achieve organizational goals.
  • Managing personnel and recommending hiring, disciplinary, and other personnel actions.
  • Establishing and monitoring clinical standards, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance.

Special Requirements:

Must possess a valid drivers license; Must pass DMV record check; Must pass TB test; Offer of employment is contingent upon the candidate passing a fingerprint-based national criminal history record check. Child Protective Services Requirements: Effective 1999, mandated by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services 12VA35-105-400 rules and Regulations for Licensing Providers by the Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services related to Criminal Registry Checks, a search of the registry of founded complaints of child abuse and neglect maintained by the Department of Social Services.

Starting Salary Range: $104,500.50 - $167,193.00
