Compact Equipment Sales Specialist

Responsibilities:Our construction equipment group is seeking a full-time Compact Equipment Specialist to report out of our Tampa, FL branch and cover Hillsborough and Pinellas, Florida counties. This position will be responsible for developing and growing the compact market and increasing the market share in the territory. The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:

Selling compact equipmentRent compact and contractor equipmentDrive new businessDemo units to accountsIncrease market shareTurn in sales reports / hotlistsCollect money on past due rental and salesMeet expected sales goalsMeet expected rental goalsCommunicate with management on demand in marketIncorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activitiesPerforms other duties as assignedConsistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time

Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years of previous related experienceMust reside in Hillsborough or Pinellas CountiesOutstanding sales skills is a mustA basic understanding of financing is desiredExcellent time management skillsAbility to multi-task and solve problemsExcellent communication skills - both verbal and writtenProfessionalism is a mustSafety awareness is essentialKnowledge of construction equipment, their application, and safetyGood computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookLanguage Skills- Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.Mathematical Skills- Intermediate: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Reasoning Ability- Intermediate; Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Equipment Operation: Ability to operate skid steers, mini excavators, compact wheel loaders, telehandlers, compactors, and specialized attachments for construction equipment.
