About the Role:
ComForCare Home Health Care - Sarasota is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Companion Caregiver to make a real difference in the lives of seniors and individuals in the Sarasota, FL area. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide meaningful one-on-one support that helps clients live their best lives at home. If you have a heart for helping others, we'd love to have you on our team!
Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients in their homes
- Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands
- Accompany clients to appointments, social outings, and community activities
- Monitor and report changes in client health, behavior, or well-being to supervisors
- Engage clients in meaningful conversation, hobbies, and recreational activities
- Provide respite care support for family caregivers
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for clients
Requirements:
- Previous caregiving, home health, or companion care experience preferred
- Genuine compassion and patience when working with elderly or disabled individuals
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
