Job Summary
We are seeking a Companion Caregiver to join our team! In this role, you will make a difference in the lives of seniors and people with disabilities by enhancing their quality of life. We assist our clients with their non/hands-on tasks and instrumental activities of daily living.


Responsibilities 
  • Provide companionship and emotional support 
  • Assist with hobbies and activities (gardening, reading, games, arts & crafts) 
  • Accompany clients on walks, outings, and errands 
  • Monitor and ensure client safety at all times 
  • Perform light housekeeping (dusting, vacuuming, mopping, dishes, organizing, trash) 
  • Handle laundry (wash, dry, fold, and put away) 
  • Plan and prepare meals based on dietary needs; assist with grocery shopping 
  • Provide transportation to appointments and social activities 
  • Run errands (groceries, prescriptions, etc.) 
  • Help manage daily schedules, appointments, and activities 
  • Assist with sorting mail, bill payments, and correspondence 
  • Communicate regularly with the care team regarding client status 
  • Report any changes in client condition or environment 
  • Maintain accurate daily documentation of care provided
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide, or similar role is preferred
  • First aid and CPR-certified
  • Must have a clean Criminal Background
  • Must be free from communicable and infectious diseases, including TB
  • Knowledge of basic housekeeping tasks and cooking skills
  • A compassionate and caring attitude
  • Self-motivation and the eagerness to learn
  • Reliability and excellent timekeeping skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work under little or no supervision
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure and change
  • The ability to be non-judgmental and willing to respect clients and co-workers as
    well
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • A clean driving history and current driver’s license (if any)
Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in clients' homes
  • Must be able to travel to various client locations
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist with physical transfers and mobility of clients.
