Caregiver (In-Home Care)
Pay:$15.00–$17.00 per hourJoin the Visiting Angels Team!Are you compassionate, dependable, and passionate about helping others? Visiting Angels is seeking caring and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional in-home care to seniors and adults who wish to remain safely and comfortably in their own homes.As a caregiver, you'll make a meaningful difference every day by providing companionship, personal care, and support that enhances our clients' quality of life.Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene
- Help clients with medication reminders as directed
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, and walks
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when needed
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization
- Grocery shop or accompany clients while shopping
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with approved physical therapy or exercise routines
- Observe and report changes in a client's condition or any unusual incidents
- Respond appropriately in emergency situations
Desired Experience:
- At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience preferred
- Experience caring for seniors or adults with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, stroke recovery, or mobility limitations
- Experience providing personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and transfers
- Experience using gait belts, Hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand lifts, or other mobility equipment is a plus
- Previous experience in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, or hospitals preferred
- Experience working overnight, weekend, or live-in shifts is a plus
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance preferred for clients requiring transportation
Qualifications:
- Previous caregiving experience preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Knowledge of personal care, nutrition, and home safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Professional appearance and ethical work standards
- Ability to perform the physical demands of caregiving
- High school diploma or GED preferred
