Campus Human Resources provides a full range of human resource management services through its various units, including Benefits, Central Resource Unit, Compensation and Classification, Employee and Labor Relations, HR & Payroll Operations Center, Learning and Organizational Development, Staff and Faculty Counseling Center, and Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning. The UCLA Compensation Unit is responsible for the classification and reclassification of positions, managing classification systems, and overseeing wage and salary programs in collaboration with campus stakeholders. Additionally, the Compensation Unit administers JDXpert, a comprehensive position description management system and workflow engine designed to facilitate classification and reclassification requests.
Position Summary:Join UCLA's Human Resources team as a Compensation Analyst and play an important role in supporting one of the nation's leading public university. In this position, you will partner with HR professionals, campus leaders, and systemwide colleagues to help ensure UCLA's compensation programs are competitive, equitable, and compliant with University policies.
As a Compensation Analyst, you will perform compensation and classification analyses, conduct job reviews, benchmark positions against the market, and develop recommendations that support strategic workforce decisions. You will also collaborate with Human Resources partners, campus leadership, and the UC Office of the President to maintain data integrity across UCPath and HR systems while assisting Compensation Consultants with compensation program administration and wage implementations.

Salary: The budgeted hiring range for this position is up to $95,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
Work Location
This position offers a primarily remote work arrangement; however, employees are expected to report to the UCLA campus in Los Angeles as business needs require. On-site work may be needed for meetings, collaboration, training, special projects, or other operational responsibilities. In the past the frequency of on-site has been very limited but work may vary over time based on departmental and University needs.
