JOB SUMMARY (the purpose and general nature of the job):
The Benefits & Compensation Specialist is responsible for administering and supporting the Company's compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitive, equitable, and compliant practices. This role partners with HR leadership, managers, payroll, finance, and external vendors to administer employee benefit programs, conduct compensation analyses, maintain job and salary structures, support annual compensation reviews, and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of compensation and benefits administration in a multi-state manufacturing environment.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following:
Compensation Administration
Administer compensation programs, salary structures, pay grades, and compensation policies.
Benefits Administration
Administer employee benefit programs including:
Medical
Dental
Vision
Life Insurance
Disability Programs (STD/LTD)
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
and retirement plans
Serve as primary contact for employee benefit questions and issue resolution.
Coordinate annual open enrollment activities and employee communications.
Work with benefit brokers, vendors, and insurance carriers to resolve claims and coverage issues.
Conduct benefit audits and eligibility reviews to ensure data accuracy.
Process qualifying life events and benefit changes.
Assist with benefit plan renewals and annual benefit market evaluations.
Support employee education and communication regarding benefit offerings.
