Duties/Responsibilities
· Administers employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other company-sponsored plans; responds to employee inquiries regarding eligibility, coverage, and enrollment.
· Administers the Company's 401(k) retirement plan and responds to inquiries related to enrollments, plan changes, distributions, loans, and contribution elections.
· Maintains effective working relationships with benefits brokers, carriers, third-party administrators, and other vendors.
· Completes various supportive and administrative tasks associated with the company benefit plans.
· Provides input on benefits plan design, benchmarking, renewal processes, and vendor evaluations.
· Assists employees with benefits-related claim issues, escalations, and plan changes.
· Reviews and resolves benefit vendor error reports and data discrepancies in a timely manner.
· Partners with third-party leave administrators to oversee the administration of leaves of absence, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, disability, military, and personal leave programs.
· Maintains and updates the functionality of the HRIS system as it relates to new hire enrollments, annual open enrollment, and status changes.
· Prepares and distributes reports for Human Resources, management, vendors, brokers, and external stakeholders as needed.
· Supports and assists with the administration of compensation programs, including annual merit reviews, incentive and bonus programs, and total compensation statements.
· Assists with compensation analysis, salary benchmarking, and market pricing activities.
· Completes annual and ad hoc salary survey submissions and analyzes survey results.
· Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws related to compensation and benefits administration.
· Maintains accurate employee records and ensures confidentiality of sensitive compensation and benefits information.
· In the event of an acquisition, assist with the due diligence and integration process related to employee benefits.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
· Working knowledge of employee benefits programs and applicable federal and state regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and ACA.
· Basic understanding of genera of compensation principles and salary benchmarking.
· Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
· Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and HRIS systems.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
Education and Experience
· Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field required; equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
· Two plus years of experience in benefits administration, compensation administration, human resources, or a related field.
· Experience with HRIS platforms and benefits administration systems preferred.
· Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), SHRM-CP, PHR, CCP, or related certification is a plus.
