Overview Job Title: Compensation Specialist • Company: Inside Higher EdLocation: Lexington, KY • Department: 3J541:Compensation • Requisition Number: RE51447 • Grade Level: 42 • Salary Range: $17.41-27.87/hour • Type of Position: Staff • Position Time Status: Full-Time • Required Education: BADeadline to Apply: 09/09/2025Note: This role is part of University of Kentucky Human Resources and is subject to applicable university employment policies.Responsibilities Collaborate with the Compensation Consultant/Hospitals and various supervisors in UK Healthcare to support the job classification process, including position updates with post, updates with no post, and new position description requests through the Integrated Employment System and the Position Review System.Review and view information in SAP as needed; may be required to enter information in SAP in job classification fields.Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; build and maintain positive working relationships; maintain confidentiality; prioritize and manage work with a high degree of accuracy; provide exceptional customer service.Attend meetings at different locations on and off campus as required; interact with individuals at various levels throughout the organization.Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to: facilitating compensation activities in other sectors, building and running reports from the system of record, and reporting data via various reports.Qualifications Required Education: BARequired Related Experience: 1 yearRequired License/Registration/Certification: NonePreferred Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree plus two or more years or equivalent experience as a staff support/administrative assistant preferred.HR professional knowledge, ability to multi-task with strong accuracy, time management, problem solving, critical thinking, follow-through, planning and organizational skills, and a high level of confidentiality.Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Initiative, superior customer service focus, team orientation, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to build strong working relationships. Proficiency in the full Microsoft Office Suite is expected.Physical Requirements The physical requirements of this position include occasional standing and/or walking with objects up to 25 lbs; regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods with regular repetitive motions (e.g., typing).Work Schedule Shift: Primarily Monday through Friday, 7:30 am – 5:00 pm; additional hours may be required from time to time due to workload demands.Supervisory Responsibilities Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
