Located in historic Old Town, Southernmost Beach Resort expands over 6 acres on a serene part of the island with Atlantic Ocean front views, gorgeous Key West architecture, and all the amenities you desire in a beach resort. Just a short walk or bike ride from Key West’s boutique shops, art galleries, eclectic restaurants, and non-stop nightlife, the resort spans over two city blocks and offers guest rooms that are located within easy reach of both the beach and world-famous Duval Street. 

Overview:

The HR Coordinator supports daily human resources operations for Southernmost Beach Resort and The Marker Key West Harbor Resort. This role assists with recruiting, onboarding, associate relations, payroll and benefits administration, compliance, training, employee housing, and engagement initiatives while providing excellent support to associates and leaders.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding for both resort properties.
  • Maintain employee records, HR systems, and personnel documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Serve as a resource for associates and managers regarding HR policies, benefits, and employment-related questions.
  • Assist with payroll processing, timecard audits, benefits administration, and employment status changes.
  • Support employee relations matters, investigations, and performance management processes.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies, training requirements, and employment laws.
  • Administer associate housing assignments, agreements, move-ins, move-outs, and related records.
  • Order and maintain HR office supplies and resources.
  • Support associate engagement programs, recognition events, and other HR initiatives that enhance the employee experience.
Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of HR, administrative, or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, Microsoft Office, and HRIS systems (Dayforce preferred).
  • Strong communication, organization, customer service, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, demonstrate professionalism, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to travel between resort properties as needed.
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
  • Work schedule is Monday-Friday
