Job Details
We are seeking an attorney with several years of meaningful litigation experience to join our team handling complex disputes and high-stakes matters. This role is heavily focused on litigation and offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys on sophisticated cases involving intricate factual, legal, and technical issues.
We are looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work, managing significant case responsibilities, and collaborating with colleagues throughout all phases of litigation. Prior industry-specific experience is not required. We value strong litigators who can quickly learn new subject matter, think strategically, and contribute to successful outcomes for clients.
Responsibilities
Manage substantive litigation tasks from case inception through resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation-related documents
Conduct legal research and prepare written analyses of complex legal issues
Handle written discovery, document review, and fact development
Take and defend depositions and participate in witness preparation
Work with expert witnesses and assist with expert discovery
Participate in hearings, mediations, and other dispute resolution proceedings
Assist with case strategy, motion practice, trial preparation, and trial support
Collaborate with attorneys across multiple matters and practice teams
Maintain regular communication with clients and internal case teams
Qualifications
Meaningful experience managing complex litigation matters
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
Experience handling discovery, depositions, and motion practice
Excellent organizational and case management skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience working on sophisticated disputes involving significant exposure or complex factual issues is a plus
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active license and good standing in the State of California
Approximately 4-8 years of litigation experience
Experience with written discovery, depositions, legal research, drafting, and motion practice
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced practice
Strong academic and professional credentials
