Job Overview

As a key player in our compliance team, you will be responsible for preparing, researching, and completing regulatory reports, amendment filings, and business partner/carrier reporting requirements. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as Medicare Advantage (MA), Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC), Department of Insurance (DOI), and Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). You will also assist in modifying policies and procedures as necessary to meet state and federal agency standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and complete DMHC reports, amendment filings, and business partner/carrier reporting requirements.
  • Track reporting deadlines and log all in-process and completed reports.
  • Prepare documents for presentation to the Quality Management Committee, Public Policy Committee, Board of Directors, and Management Team.
  • Provide oversight with compliance work plans and monitoring functions, including risk assessment.
  • Assist with the Language Assistance Program (LAP) activities.
  • Prepare reports and maintain files for compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory guidelines.
  • Work effectively with regulatory agencies and communicate with facilities throughout the U.S. and Canada.
  • Maintain knowledge of fire protection systems and associated general regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Manage Water Discharge Monitoring Reports and track information on energy and resource-efficient projects.

Requirements

  • Experience in preparing and completing regulatory reports and amendment filings.
  • Ability to work effectively with regulatory agencies.
  • General knowledge of environmental management systems.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferences

  • Familiarity with the Clean Air Act and EPCRA requirements.
  • Knowledge of California special wastes and SPCC plans.
  • Experience in facilitating, arranging, and conducting environmental-related training.
