Job Description:

Role: Compliance and Operational Risk Testing Analyst

Rate: 60/hr W2

Location: 100% Remote

Contract Duration: 12+ Months

Description:

As a member of the second line of defense, the Compliance and Operational Risk Testing Analyst executes independent testing under the Second Line Testing Oversight Program methodology to ensure departmental processes and activities comply with applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures. The candidate will compile and retain well documented work papers to create accurate and concise written reports including issues, root cause and recommended corrective action.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops the steps needed to test and/or analyze compliance with complex policies/procedures and laws/regulations.
  • Performs test of design and test of operating effectiveness of controls
  • Prepares detailed and testing work papers to support conclusions.
  • Identifies potential control weaknesses and makes recommendations to remediate issues.
  • Builds, develops, and maintains relationships with business and internal control partners

Minimum Experience:

  • 4 or more years of relevant work experience (internal/external audit and/or technical cybersecurity knowledge).
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying federal and state laws and regulations to IT and cybersecurity environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of testing techniques OR cybersecurity technology and/or function.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred:

  • 6 years of IT Audit and/or technical cybersecurity experience with large financial institution
  • CISA, CIA, CISSP, CISM, CDPSE, CRISC
