Compliance and Risk Specialist

Noo-Kayet Investments and The Point Casino and Hotel are looking for a Compliance and Risk Specialist to join their administrative team!

The Compliance and Risk Specialist assists the Compliance and Risk Manager in overseeing the Compliance & Risk Program for Noo-Kayet Investments (NKI) and The Point Casino & Hotel, serving as an independent, objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance and risk issues and concerns within the organization.

This person assists in ensuring that employees of Noo-Kayet Investments and The Point Casino & Hotel comply with regulatory agency rules and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Additionally, the Compliance and Risk Specialist assists in reducing the operating risk of NKI-wide entities.

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Audit CTR documents and reports and review summary data to ensure all recordable and reportable cash transactions have been accurately captured by all sources.
• Review documents for Currency Transaction Reports, Suspicious Activity Reports, and other reports required for Title 31 purposes.
• Assist in monitoring the effectiveness of the Compliance and Risk Programs and related activities on a continuous basis and take appropriate steps to improve them, as directed by the Compliance and Risk Manager.
• Review MTLs received by the Revenue Audit Department to ensure there are no insufficiencies.
• Assist in coordinating the scheduling of training, appraisals, inspections, and drills to ensure they are carried out on an adequate rotation schedule under the necessary guidelines and conditions.
• Research and assist in providing resources to the company regarding NKI's compliance and risk matters.

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience performing the same or similar job duties preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering laws.
• Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and various gaming-related accounting systems.
• Ability to qualify for and maintain a gaming license issued by the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe upon hire.
