Position Overview
The Compliance Associate I assists in day-to-day administrative operations. The Compliance Associate I provides clerical and administrative support to the Chief Compliance Officer and Compliance Manager. This individual assists with meeting preparation and recording meeting minutes, helps conduct quality and risk management audits and generates reports, and maintains the corporate policy and procedure manual. This individual will have a working knowledge of HIPAA, electronic health record systems, medical terminology, and be familiar with the concepts of risk management and quality.
THIS POSITION OFFERS A 40-HOUR WORKWEEK, NO WEEKENDS, FULL BENEFITS PACKAGE, 12 PAID HOLIDAYS, BI-WEEKLY PAY.
Essential Tasks
- Assists the Chief Compliance Officer and Compliance Manager in overseeing and monitoring the Corporate Compliance Program.
- Assists and prepares for meetings. This includes reserving the conference room, making sure computer equipment is available and ready, preparing and distributing the agenda and other documents, and taking meeting minutes.
- Assists with conducting audits and utilize software systems to generate reports using Excel and other databases.
- Serves as back-up to prepare peer review documents for medical and dental departments, distributes forms to medical and dental providers as needed. Collects and tallies results.
- Directly responsible for maintaining the corporate policy and procedure manuals. Provides support to the Compliance Manager in the creation and maintenance of the Risk Management policy manual and corporate intranet.
Experience and Education
- Associate''s degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Information Technology, Public Health, or other similar degree.
- One year of experience working in an administrative support role.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with medical professionals, third-party vendors, and patients, in writing, in person, and by telephone.
- Proven computer skill required for the production of correspondence, forms, reports and spreadsheets.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Physical Requirements
- Constant standing and walking, occasional bending, stooping, lifting, reaching forward and overhead.
- May occasionally be required to lift patients, office equipment and paper, usually not exceeding fifty pounds of direct lift.

Base Pay Overview
