\nPosition Summary
\nBridger Construction is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Part-Time Compliance Coordinator to manage subcontractor compliance documentation across our construction projects. This position is responsible for ensuring subcontractors remain compliant with contractual, insurance, bonding, and certified payroll requirements throughout the life of each project.
\nThis position will initially be part-time, approximately 10 – 20 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility based on workload and project needs. As Bridger continues to grow, there may be an opportunity for the position to expand in hours and responsibilities and potentially develop into a full-time role.
\nThe Compliance Coordinator will work closely with Bridger's Project Management and Accounting teams to collect, review, track, and maintain required documentation and proactively resolve missing, incomplete, or noncompliant items.
\nThe ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable following up consistently with subcontractors, and able to independently manage recurring compliance requirements across multiple projects.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nCertified Payroll & Prevailing Wage Compliance
\n· Collect certified payroll reports from subcontractors and lower-tier subcontractors on a weekly basis for projects requiring certified payroll.
\n· Review certified payroll submissions for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable project requirements.
\n· Verify employee classifications, wage rates, fringe benefits, hours worked, and other required information against applicable wage determinations.
\n· Identify discrepancies, missing information, or potential compliance issues and coordinate corrections with subcontractors.
\n· Track weekly certified payroll submissions and maintain a current log of outstanding or deficient reports.
\n· Maintain organized certified payroll records for each project and assist with documentation required for audits or government reviews.
\n· Coordinate with Project Managers when potential prevailing wage or labor compliance issues are identified.
\nCertificates of Insurance
\n· Collect Certificates of Insurance (COIs) from subcontractors before they begin work.
\n· Review COIs against Bridger's subcontract and project-specific insurance requirements.
\n· Verify required coverage types, policy limits, additional insured requirements, waiver of subrogation requirements, and other required endorsements.
\n· Track insurance expiration dates and obtain updated certificates before policies expire.
\n· Maintain an accurate company-wide insurance compliance log.
\n· Notify Project Management and Accounting of subcontractors with expired, deficient, or missing insurance documentation.
\nSubcontractor Bonds
\n· Collect payment and performance bonds from subcontractors when required by their subcontract.
\n· Review bonds for completeness and verify that the bond amount, principal, obligee, surety, and project information are consistent with subcontract requirements.
\n· Confirm required powers of attorney and supporting documentation are provided.
\n· Track outstanding subcontractor bonds and follow up until all requirements are satisfied.
\n· Maintain electronic bond records for each project.
\nSubcontractor Compliance Management
\n· Maintain a centralized compliance tracking system for all active subcontractors.
\n· Track required documentation by subcontractor and project, including Certified payroll, Certificates of Insurance, Insurance endorsements, Payment and performance bonds, W-9s and other required vendor documentation, Licenses and certifications when applicable, and other project-specific compliance documentation
\n· Proactively communicate with subcontractors regarding missing, expired, incomplete, or noncompliant documentation.
\n· Escalate unresolved compliance issues to the appropriate Project Manager or company leadership.
\n· Coordinate with Accounting to help ensure required compliance documentation is in place before subcontractor payments are released when applicable.
\n· Assist Project Managers with subcontractor onboarding and closeout documentation.
\n· Maintain organized electronic records in Bridger's project management and document management systems.
\nQualifications
\n· Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in documentation.
\n· Excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills.
\n· Ability to manage recurring weekly deadlines across multiple projects.
\n· Comfortable communicating directly and persistently with subcontractors to obtain required documentation.
\n· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
\n· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other standard business software.

\nPerformance in this position will be evaluated based on:
\n· Certified payroll received and reviewed on time each week.
\n· Minimal outstanding or delinquent certified payroll reports.
\n· Subcontractors maintaining current and compliant insurance documentation.
\n· Required subcontractor bonds received before applicable work or payment milestones.
\n· Accuracy and completeness of compliance records.
\n· Timely identification and escalation of compliance deficiencies.
\n· Responsiveness to requests from Project Management, Accounting, auditors, and government representatives.
\n· Reduction in the amount of time Project Managers spend chasing subcontractor compliance documentation.
