Compliance Director (Hybrid)

Northwest Permanente seeks an experienced, collaborative, and operationally driven Director of Compliance to lead and evolve our comprehensive compliance program. Reporting administratively to the Vice President of Regional Care Delivery and serving as the key administrative partner to the Chief Compliance Officer, you will operationalize Office of Inspector General (OIG) compliance principles across our multi-specialty physician practice while leading dedicated compliance initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

• Direct Program Strategy: Lead annual organizational compliance assessments, translate findings into annual work plans, and coordinate Compliance Committee and Board reporting.
• Audit and Monitor: Formulate and manage compliance audit frameworks, targeting clinical workflows, high-risk regulatory areas, and technology/AI deployments.
• Investigate and Remediate: Oversee hotline intake, lead impartial investigations, conduct root-cause analyses, and partner with HR and operational leaders to implement robust corrective action plans.
• Educate and Champion: Drive targeted training for the medical group building a strong speak-up culture rooted in non-retaliation.
• Collaborate Across Regions: Align compliance activities and shared learning initiatives with partner medical groups across the national Permanente federation.
• Lead and Develop Talent: Provide direct people leadership, mentorship, and operational oversight to compliance staff, driving accountability, skill development, and high-impact execution.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, health law, public policy, or a directly related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive healthcare compliance, audit, or regulatory experience, including five (5) years direct leadership experience or program oversight in a complex healthcare delivery environment.
• Deep mastery of the OIG Seven Elements, fraud/waste/abuse statutes
• CHC, CCEP, or CHPC certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Proven capability in designing risk assessments, executive dashboards, and audit methodologies.
• Excellent consultative, consensus-building, and executive-level presentation skills with clinical and physician leadership.
