Position: Compliance Engineering Technician Electronics Lab

The Company: NAPCO Security Technologies, Inc., headquartered in Amityville, Long Island NY, is a world-wide leader in the manufacturing of electronic security systems for over 50 years is seeking an Electronic Technician in the Compliance Engineering department lab.
Responsibilities:
- Test new and alternate construction products in the Fire/Burglary/Access Control Industry in accordance with UL Standards.
- Wire and assemble circuit boards, hand solder SMT components.
- Read schematics/ CAD drawings and find components.
- Assist with assembly of electronic prototypes.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree/Trade School education with 5+ years of electronic experience.
- Use equipment such as scope, voltmeter (DMM), Hi-Pot, Power Analyzer).
- Use computer based diagnostic equipment.
- Work with hand tools.
- Use a PC for word processing, documenting test results, and E-mail.
- Experience with Alarm Systems, CCTV or Access Control a plus.
