    Description

    Tellworks Logistics is a rapidly growing third-party logistics company recognized for its speed, flexibility, and hands-on operational model. We are seeking a Compliance Officer to lead the development, implementation, and execution of compliance, risk management, and operational control frameworks across our warehouse operations.The Compliance Officer will work directly alongside operations teams to ensure that compliance controls are effectively designed, clearly understood, and consistently executed in real time.The position plays a key role in maintaining audit readiness, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This is achieved through close partnership with Operations, IT, and site leadership to embed compliance practices into daily warehouse execution.Primary Responsibilities Oversee and support compliance programs across multi-site warehouse operationsMaintain alignment with SOC 1 & SOC 2 (Type 1 and Type 2), OSHA, and industry standardsCoordinate internal audits, compliance testing, and external audit activitiesIdentify control gaps, document findings, and drive corrective actions to resolutionMaintain compliance documentation, including narratives, risk control matrices, and audit evidenceActively monitor warehouse operations (receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, etc.) to ensure controls are followedConduct real-time control testing and validate execution of operational processesPartner with operations teams to address risks and implement corrective actions immediatelyOversee IT General Controls (ITGC), including access management, change management, and system monitoringSupport business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including testing and follow-up actionsManage and track Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for recurring issuesMonitor regulatory requirements (OSHA, labor laws, environmental standards) and ensure compliance across operationsAssess operational, financial, and system risks and implement preventive and detective controlsPrepare audit materials, coordinate walkthroughs, and serve as liaison between operations, IT, and external auditorsProvide regular reporting on compliance status, audit findings, and key risk areasStrong, hands-on presence in warehouse operations with a “lead from the floor” mindsetAbility to balance compliance requirements with operational realities in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to identify risks and gaps quicklyEffective communication and ability to influence cross-functional teamsProactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solvingAbility to manage multiple priorities across sites and deadlinesWillingness to travel up to 30%Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while on the warehouse floorQualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree required; MBA, JD, or compliance-related certification preferred8+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or audit rolesExperience in warehousing, logistics, or supply chain environments strongly preferredStrong knowledge of SOC audits, compliance frameworks, and control testingExperience supporting multi-site and/or multi-state operationsFamiliarity with OSHA, labor laws, and regulatory compliance requirementsBig Four or consulting experience preferredLean Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience preferred#J-18808-Ljbffr
