We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Logistics Analyst for a prominent client of ours. This position is based in Chicago, IL. Details for the position are as follows:

Job Description

Pay: $22-$23/hr to start
Duration: 6-month assignment with the possibility of extension based on performance and budget
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Onsite)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipment processes while supporting internal customers, ensuring full compliance with U.S. Import and Export Regulations and maintaining accurate documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Apply knowledge of international logistics, freight forwarding, and customs compliance-including the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), classification of commodities (HTS/Schedule B), Proforma Invoice creation, NAFTA Certificates of Origin, and FDA/other agency documentation.
  • Manage shipment tracking, maintain shipment logs and filing systems, file Shipper's Export Declarations, audit customs brokerage invoices, assist with logistics coordination, and contribute to SOP development and compliance audits.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
  • 1+ year of experience with U.S. imports and/or exports is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and formulas, is required.
  • Familiarity with USHTS and country of origin terminology is required.
  • Prior auditing experience is required.
  • Experience working with freight forwarders is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP and/or Oracle is preferred.
