Compliance Program Intern

Position Overview

The Compliance Program Intern provides professional-level administrative, analytical, and project support for compliance programs, supplier participation initiatives, and operational improvement efforts. This role supports program oversight activities through tracking responses to compliance team outreach, analyzing data, and preparing reports.

This Internship is well suited for a graduate-level student (preferably in the fields of Public Administration, Public Policy, Business Administration, Data Sciences or Data Analytics) who is analytical, adaptable, organized, and capable of balancing multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day administration of compliance and supplier participation initiatives.
• Collect and track vendor responses from Compliance team outreach to support the spend validation process.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support records of Validation activity.
• Assist with follow-up communications to vendors, as directed by Compliance team.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports, summaries, spreadsheets, dashboards, and visual presentations.
• Help maintain compliance tracking systems and support process improvement efforts.
• Maintain organized electronic files, tracking logs, and program documentation.
• Assist with drafting procedural documents, internal guides, and workflow material, as needed.
• Perform additional operational and administrative duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong analytical and organizational abilities
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize assignments and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies, systems, and software platforms
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
• Professional judgment and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate student in the field of Public Administration, Public Policy, Business Administration, Data Sciences or Data Analytics
• Experience supporting compliance programs, operations, data reporting, project coordination, or administrative functions
• Ability to review, reconcile, and organize data from multiple sources and identify missing, inconsistent, or incomplete information.
• Experience supporting public sector programs, procurement operations, compliance initiatives, and/or supplier engagement activities
• Familiarity with reporting systems, CRM platforms, dashboard tools, and/or data visualization software
• Experience participating in process improvement or project management initiatives
• Knowledge of Agile or collaborative project management practices
