  • Annually identifies specific needs for self-development and implements a plan to achieve professional growth.
  • Assist Compliance Department leadership with complete, accurate and timely closure documentation of complaints from patients, staff, faculty and others, including hotline complaints.
  • Assist in the administration and organization of the compliance program, including maintenance of compliance program records.
  • Effectively maintains collaborative working relationships to achieve increased satisfaction with the participation in the Compliance and Privacy Program.
  • Maintains accurate, completed and up-to-date compliance documents and records.
  • Maintains policies and procedures related to the compliance program; drafts and executes program procedures, processes and workflows.
  • Manages comprehensive departmental documentation preparedness for demonstrating continuous regulatory compliance effectiveness; conducts assessments and gap analyses of compliance activities to support effectiveness indicators promulgated by government agencies; exercises independent judgment regarding the data.
  • Identification of potential deficiencies in program effectiveness documentation.
  • Investigates compliance issues and documents findings in a formal report.
  • Participates in other projects as assigned and completes tasks within requested timeframes.
  • Participates in periodic compliance and privacy program effectiveness evaluations.
  • Produces and maintains cumulative compliance program activity records and produces analytical reports related to comprehensive compliance program activities.
  • Tracks and trends compliance and privacy program activities; manages compliance and privacy program logs and departmental dashboards; produces and manages timelines to ensure timely resolutions of issues.
  • Provide analysis of collected data to determine if a potential compliance issue exists.

  • Remain current with all licensure, certifications, and mandatory compliance and training requirements for this position.

  • Prior experience managing projects associated with: Investigations Federal False Claims Act, HIPAA, Conflict of Interest, and Six Sigma.
  • Experience performing independent investigations and documenting findings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks and work independently to meet deadlines and exercise sound professional judgment.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels and with varying backgrounds both within and outside the organization.
  • Knowledge and general understanding of federal and state compliance program requirements, particularly in relation to healthcare.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use a personal computer and standard business software applications for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations and e-mail. 8. Knowledge of and ability to use department-specific and enterprise computerized information systems to support compliance functions.
  • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC).
