Nwestco is looking for a hands-on Compliance Technician to inspect and test fuel dispensing equipment for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
If you’re mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, comfortable working with equipment, and interested in building a career in petroleum compliance, your experience could translate well into this role.

What You’ll Do:
Inspect and test fuel dispensers and metering equipment
Verify meter accuracy, flow, calibration, labeling, and proper operation
Use calibrated testing equipment to verify fuel delivery accuracy
Inspect equipment following installations, repairs, or dispenser replacements
Identify compliance issues and coordinate necessary corrections
Apply required inspection tags and seals
Maintain accurate inspection records and test results
Work independently at customer locations
Communicate with customers, technicians, and regulatory personnel
Follow safety procedures while working around fueling equipment
What We’re Looking For:
Hands-on mechanical, electrical, maintenance, inspection, or troubleshooting experience
Comfortable using tools and testing equipment
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific testing procedures
Ability to accurately document inspection results
Dependable, safety-focused, and willing to learn
Comfortable working independently in the field
Good communication and customer service skills
Willingness to complete training and obtain required certifications
Weights & Measures or petroleum experience is a major plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Experience with Gilbarco, Wayne, Tokheim, Bennett, fuel dispensers, metering systems, NIST Handbook 44, or calibrated proving equipment is highly valued.
Current DO / Weights & Measures, ICC, Utah UT, or manufacturer certifications may qualify candidates for higher starting pay and additional responsibility.
We’ll teach you the petroleum compliance side—you bring the mechanical ability, attention to detail, work ethic, and willingness to learn.
Before You Leap:
Some positions require travel and overnight stays. Travel expenses will be covered by Nwestco, LLC
All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of the following:
Ability to pass pre-employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug-screening and background check. This position is classified as safety-sensitive, it requires the applicant to pass a comprehensive drug test, including screening for marijuana, as a condition of employment.
Driving Requirement: This position requires regular operation of a Company vehicle. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, possess a current, valid and unrestricted driver’s license, and have no DUI convictions or driver’s license suspensions or revocations within the past five (5) years. Employment is contingent upon verification of an acceptable motor vehicle record and meeting the Company’s automobile insurance eligibility requirements.
