The Component Engineer role within the Hardware Engineering team focuses on managing the full lifecycle of critical electronic components for aerospace and defense systems, including selection, qualification, and obsolescence mitigation.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and reviewing project documentation to meet contractual and company standards
  • Creating source control drawings, evaluating vendors, and analyzing test reports
  • Leading part standardization, selection, and process change initiatives
  • Developing qualification plans and executing tests with classified and commercial facilities
  • Investigating component failures, qualifying alternate test providers, and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Managing subcontractor components, researching obsolescence trends, and assessing program impacts
  • Driving issue resolution and failure analysis activities within the electronic component domain
  • Coordinating site visits to suppliers and customers for verification and relationship building

The role requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
