Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Component Packaging Engineer II to support the design, development, validation, and lifecycle management of packaging components for consumer healthcare products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the OTC, cosmetics, or personal care/lotions industry, along with expertise in packaging development, technical documentation, packaging line trials, and cross-functional collaboration in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead packaging component design, development, testing, and production scale-up activities.
- Develop and author packaging documentation, including protocols, specifications, assessment plans, trial reports, and development reports.
- Plan, execute, and analyze packaging line trials and validation activities.
- Perform risk assessments, packaging evaluations, and technical feasibility studies.
- Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams throughout product development.
- Define packaging requirements and recommend packaging and equipment solutions.
- Support packaging lifecycle management, change control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with GMP requirements and internal packaging standards.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, or a related Engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of packaging engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience in OTC, Cosmetics, Personal Care, or Lotions packaging.
- Strong experience with packaging components and package development.
- Experience writing protocols, specifications, validation documents, and technical reports.
- Knowledge of packaging materials, package testing, and packaging equipment.
- Experience conducting packaging line trials and data analysis.
- Understanding of GMP and regulated manufacturing environments.
- Strong problem-solving, technical documentation, and cross-functional communication skills.
