Job Title Component Unit Coordinator Status Full Time FTE 1 Classification Title Classified Grade C Job Summary

The Component Unit Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative, operational, and coordination support for the College's component units. Working closely with the Chief of Staff, this position manages contract workflows, board relations, and meeting coordination while ensuring organized documentation and compliance across all component unit activities. The Coordinator serves as a central point of communication for internal and external stakeholders, supports relationship management and issue resolution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business.
  • Two (2) years of experience working in Higher Education.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain successful working relationship with staff, community, and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration.
  • Experience and understanding of data analysis and process mapping.

Job Duties

Collaborates with the Chief of Staff and component unit stakeholders to develop, document, and maintain standardized workflows for contracts, agreements, renewals, and related processes. Tracks key milestones and deadlines, ensures appropriate routing and approvals, and maintains organized records to support compliance, continuity, and efficient administration of component unit operations.

Serves as a liaison between the College and the component unit board members, working closely with the Board of Trustees Liaison and Chief of Staff.

Responsible for coordinating the component unit's meetings: including scheduling, development of agendas and recording and distributing minutes. Provides necessary background materials and documentation to conduct meetings.

Supports the development and maintenance of relationships with component unit partners and customers by serving as a key point of coordination and communication. Builds familiarity with primary contacts, monitors satisfaction and performance and identifies opportunities for improvement. Develops and maintains informational materials (e.g., prospectuses, summaries, and presentations) to increase awareness and understanding of component units. Translates complex initiatives into clear, accessible content that communicates each unit's purpose, alignment with the College's mission and value to the campus and broader community.

Assists with the administration of component unit financial operations by coordinating banking and accounts receivable activities, including depositing checks, releasing authorized ACH transactions, and tracking outstanding invoices.

Prepares Word, Excel, PowerPoint Presentations, flow charts and other reports as directed.
