Title: Farmworkers, Farm & Ranch Animals
Dates of Contract: 08/20/2025 to 06/20/2026
Schedule: Monday-Friday 10hrs Saturday 5hrs 7:00am-5:30am
Duties: Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, catching, and loading animals; Mix, grind, deliver, move feed/feedstuffs to cattle to supplement diet; Maintain records on animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Administer medications, vaccinations, shots, oral wormers, pour on wormers, etc. as appropriate; Clean and maintain animal housing areas; Drive trucks, tractors, and other equipment to distribute feed to animals and to move livestock from one location to another; Inspect, maintain, prepare, and repair livestock facilities, buildings, pens, yards, and fences; Move livestock from one location to another; Clean water tanks, pens; Speak and understand English.
Requirements: Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
Pay: $15.79
-FLSA exempt: no overtime paid
