Summary:
Performs composite development and experimental prototype fabrication and assembly tasks.
Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains composite-related equipment, tooling, and prototype components.
Works from composite lay-up schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions for fabrication.
Operates specialized fabrication equipment for composite development and experimental builds.
Conducts experimental builds and tests, and reports data in prescribed format.
Performs calibration and alignment checks on composite equipment and tooling.
Makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements to composite equipment as directed.
Prepares custom resin systems, hardeners, and curing solutions for composite fabrication.
Troubleshoots composite-related equipment and prototype components for development.
Applies knowledge of composite materials and processes for prototype fabrication.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Experience in composite development and experimental prototype fabrication and assembly.
Ability to construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain composite equipment and tooling.
Ability to work from composite lay-up schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
Experience operating specialized fabrication equipment for composite development.
Experience preparing custom resin systems, hardeners, and curing solutions.
Experience performing calibration and alignment checks and making adjustments or modifications to equipment.
Ability to conduct experimental builds and tests and report data in prescribed format.
Knowledge of composite materials, processes, and tooling for prototype development.
Ability to perform troubleshooting and maintenance on composite-related equipment and prototype components.
