A day in this role

You arrive to a clean, organized production cell and review the plan for the shift. You stage materials, configure your equipment, and run a sequence of layup-through-trimming operations—keeping a vigilant eye on safety interlocks and quality checkpoints. When a reading looks off, you pause, diagnose, and make a precise adjustment. You document output and any downtime, communicate what you see across departments, and step in to support adjacent machines as needed. You close the day with a tidy work area, accurate logs, and high-quality composite parts ready for the next step.

What you’ll tackle

• Set up, operate, and shut down equipment across the full production cell—from initial layup to final trimming and housekeeping.
• Keep machinery in top form: clean, adjust, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs to sustain optimal throughput.
• Champion safety by monitoring hazards, verifying guards/safety barriers, and escalating issues immediately.
• Train on production machinery and cross-train to serve as a reliable backup on multiple operator posts.
• Track the numbers: complete hourly production and quality logs, including downtime reasons.
• Inspect output, separate nonconforming parts, and communicate defects to the right stakeholders.
• Maintain a neat, organized workstation and contribute to 5S practices.
• Collaborate with teammates and other departments to keep safety, quality, and production information flowing.
• Jump in on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team.

What you bring

• No high school diploma required.
• 1–3 years of related experience in a production or machining environment.
• Hands-on time with layup, consolidator, waterjet, trim, and/or press equipment is strongly preferred.

Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.

Pay and upside

Hourly compensation ranges from $16.50 to $25.00 based on directly relevant experience. Beyond pay, every employee at Re:Build participates in ownership and shares in the financial outcomes we create together.
