Are You Driven by Complex Materials Challenges?
Do you enjoy turning ambitious ideas into manufacturable composite parts? Can you move fluidly from CAD modeling to FEA validation, then into a build review with process engineering? If you’re nodding yes, you’ll thrive with our Bennington, VT team.
Your Mission
Transform requirements into elegant, build-ready composite structures. Collaborate across disciplines, validate performance before the first ply is cut, and document everything clearly so production and testing run smoothly.
What You'll Do
- Design composite components for diverse applications, optimizing layups and architecture.
- Use analysis and simulations to verify strength, stiffness, and durability.
- Work closely with manufacturing and other stakeholders to ensure DFM/DFA feasibility.
- Create complete technical packages—specifications, drawings, and formal reports.
- Stay at the forefront of composite materials, processes, and tooling trends.
- Engage in design reviews, offering focused, constructive insights.
- Assist with prototype test planning and evaluation to meet program targets.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent.
- Proven composite design experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
- Expertise in composite materials and processes, plus CAD and FEA proficiency.
- Detail-oriented problem solver with strong analytical judgment.
- Team-first collaborator with clear communication skills.
- Experience coordinating projects and balancing multiple priorities.
Your Skillset Toolkit
- GD&T and blueprint literacy.
- CAD/CAM software proficiency for end-to-end development.
- FEA and tolerance analysis for predictive validation.
- DFM and DFA to ensure smooth production and assembly.
- Process engineering understanding and PFMEA practice.
- Mechanical design & engineering fundamentals applied to composites.
- Product design experience across the lifecycle.
- Bachelor's Degree.
