Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Composite Tooling Fabricator to join our team. Qualifying skills for the position include:

• Fabricating, detailing, and preparing composite tooling master model surfaces for tooling prepreg and resin infusion layup processes. • Supporting tooling design of fixture modifications using 3D modeling software. • Applicants must be proficient in Hand lay up of dry fiber and prepreg materials and their associated methodologies.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building, detailing, sealing, and releasing foam master model plugs in preparation for producing composite tooling. • Taking part in the preparation and assembly of steel and aluminum molds and fixturing.

The optimal candidate will possess the ability to learn and apply the methodology of GD&T as it pertains to the metrology process in the utilization of portable CMM equipment in support of the tooling dept inspection processes.

Required Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:30 pm.
• 1yr Manual lathe and milling machining experience.
• Mechanical skills relating to assemblies
• Understanding of composite & metallic materials
• Manual dexterity and ability to use hand & power tools efficiently and effectively.
• Familiar with CAD software.
• Able to become certified to wear a respirator.
• Ability to lift assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs
• Have no known allergies to epoxies or other composite materials.

Desired Skills

• CNC Machining or programming experience is a plus but not required

Additional Information

The target base pay for this position is $21-$31/hour. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
