Key Outcomes

  • Produce high-quality composite component designs ready for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Validate performance via analysis and simulation to confirm integrity and compliance.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, process, and quality to ensure feasibility and throughput.
  • Deliver precise technical documentation: specifications, drawings, and reports.
  • Contribute in design reviews with practical, data-driven feedback.
  • Support prototype testing and evaluation against program requirements.
  • Monitor and apply advancements in composite materials, processes, and technologies.

Core Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience in composite design within a manufacturing context.
  • Proficiency with composite materials, fabrication methods, and design software (CAD, FEA).
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project management capability with multitasking across concurrent efforts.

Technical Proficiency

  • GD&T and blueprint reading.
  • CAD and CAD/CAM software.
  • FEA and tolerance analysis.
  • Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
  • Process engineering and PFMEA.
  • Mechanical design & engineering fundamentals.
  • Product design experience from concept through release.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
