AIRO is offering a unique opportunity to join a highly focused and motivated team of engineers in defining, designing, and implementing these advanced systems.Position OverviewThe Composite Technician is responsible for supporting the fabrication, assembly, and repair of composite structures for AIRO production operations. This role performs hands‑on composite manufacturing tasks including material preparation, layup, curing, trimming, and inspection while ensuring adherence to established work instructions, quality standards, and safety requirements. The Composite Technician works under the direction of the Composites Supervisor to support efficient and consistent production output.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform composite layup, vacuum bagging, curing, and trimming operations using prepreg and/or wet layup materials in accordance with work instructions.Read and interpret blueprints, ply schedules, and technical documentation to execute manufacturing processes accurately.Prepare molds and tooling, including cleaning, release application, and setup.Cut, label, and stage composite materials with proper batch and lot traceability.Assist in constructing vacuum bag assemblies and perform basic leak checks prior to cure.Operate curing equipment (ovens and/or autoclaves) following established parameters and supervision as needed.Inspect components for defects and report quality concerns to leadership.Perform trimming, drilling, bonding, and finishing of composite parts as required.Maintain accurate production documentation, including travelers and material tracking.Properly use and maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces.Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.Support team objectives and production schedules as directed by leadership.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.1–3 years of hands‑on composite manufacturing experience preferred.Basic knowledge of composite materials, including carbon fiber and fiberglass.Familiarity with composite layup, vacuum bagging, and curing processes preferred.Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and work instructions.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.Willingness to learn and develop composite manufacturing skills.Familiarity with aerospace or AS9100 environments preferred.EducationHigh School Diploma/GEDPhysical and Mental RequirementsStanding and sitting for extended periods of time.Lifting up to 25 pounds in a safe and prudent manner.Ability to work and communicate well with other employees and management, customers, visitors, vendors.Ability to perform work utilizing manual dexterity of the hands.Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, reach above and below shoulders, and full use of upper extremities.Ability to easily move through an approximately 25,000 square foot warehouse building.Ability to read, write, and understand English.Correctable vision and hearing.Company BenefitsPaid Time Off (PTO)Paid HolidaysParental LeaveMedical, Dental, Vision InsuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA)401(k) with company matchEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Commuter BenefitsBasic Life Insurance – fully paid by the company for employees and their dependentsLong‑Term Disability Insurance – fully paid by the companyVoluntary Short‑Term Disability InsuranceSupplemental Life Insurance optionsPay range: 28–32 USD per hour (Phoenix - Main)The AIRO Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.#J-18808-Ljbffr
