POSITION PURPOSE
At Bayport Laboratories, this role is responsible for the accurate preparation and blending of cosmetic formulations. This role ensures that all products meet established quality standards and are properly prepared for the production process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
• Accurately measure and weigh raw materials according to approved formulations
• Prepare and blend batches to meet quality and consistency standards
• Perform quality checks including visual inspection and basic testing
• Maintain accurate batch records and production documentation
• Monitor raw material inventory and report shortages
• Clean and maintain compounding equipment; report malfunctions
• Follow all safety procedures and report hazards
• Support process improvement initiatives with quality and R&D teams
QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in manufacturing or production preferred, but not required
• Basic knowledge of batch processing or formulation is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow SOPs and safety guidelines
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, and overtime as needed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull materials weighing up to 70 pounds occasionally as part of essential job functions
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8–12 hours per shift)
• Frequent use of hands for measuring, pouring, and mixing
• Ability to perform repetitive movements such as bending, reaching, and grasping
• Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators, masks, gloves, aprons, safety shoes, and hearing protection, in accordance with safety regulations
• Ability to maintain visual accuracy for reading measurements and documentation
