Compounder
Pay Rate: $27.00/hr.
Location: Somerset, NJ
Shift Options:
2nd Shift: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
Mid Shift: 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Position Overview
As a Compounder, you will support day-to-day plant operations and play a key role in ensuring the quality and consistency of products. This position offers opportunities to grow within manufacturing while working as part of a collaborative team.
Job Responsibilities
- Retrieve assigned batch recipe cards and review compounding instructions.
- Prioritize orders based on the earliest ship date.
- Manually add raw materials from dispensing racks, including powders and pull cans.
- Use dosing clusters and mix-tank dispensing stations to automatically add materials to batches.
- Use scales, load cells, and pumps to ensure materials are added in the proper sequence and quantities.
- Retrieve pre-mixes from the automation area and add them to batches by weight.
- Ensure batches are thoroughly mixed according to specifications.
- Keep equipment and work areas clean and in proper working condition.
- Report equipment issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures.
- Understand and safely handle the hazards associated with various chemicals.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- 3+ years of industrial work experience required.
- Chemical compounding experience preferred.
- 2+ years of forklift driving experience required.
- 2+ years of warehouse experience required.
- Working knowledge of inventory control systems.
- Ability to handle heavy materials, including drums weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to safety and ability to follow established procedures.
