Danimer Scientific is a biotechnology company committed to creating sustainable, biodegradable materials that reduce plastic pollution. We are seeking a Compounding Operation Technician to support hands-on production activities in our Winchester facility.

What You’ll Do
As a Compounding Operation Technician, you will play a critical role in safely operating and maintaining production processes while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate compounding process equipment and utilities
- Monitor and adjust process conditions (valves, tanks, piping, sterilization systems)
- Accurately document batch records and production data
- Maintain compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and safety protocols
- Identify and report quality deviations or safety concerns
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues independently
- Review production documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Perform housekeeping and weekly area audits
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Support training of new operators
You will have the authority and responsibility to stop production in the event of a safety or quality concern.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience
- Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a regulated manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4–8 years of manufacturing experience
- Experience with plastics or compounding processes
- Familiarity with manufacturing software systems
Physical & Work Requirements
· Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
· Ability to wear required PPE including hearing protection
· Exposure to manufacturing environments with moving equipment, airborne particles, and varying temperatures
· Ability to hear machinery alarms and distinguish sounds on the production floor
· Clear near and distance vision for computer and production tasks
