We are seeking Compounding Operators to support production operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for preparing resin batches, operating compounding equipment, performing quality checks, and accurately recording production data.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working with production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Prepare resin batches using detailed formulations and mix sheets
Pre-blend materials and load ribbon blenders or drum tumblers according to formulation specifications
Weigh, package, and label finished products based on work order instructions
Perform start-up, shutdown, and operation of 40mm and 60mm compounder lines and water systems
Conduct production maintenance on compounders, pelletizers, dryers, and related equipment
Disassemble compounders for screen changes and cleaning
Troubleshoot equipment issues to maintain efficient production
Sample compound materials and mold ASTM test slabs for each work order
Inspect products for visual defects and initiate corrective actions when necessary
Enter production data into internal systems including the CMPC program
Complete all production documentation including work orders, stock movement tickets, scrap tickets, and identification tags
Assist in training employees on proper compounding techniques and equipment operation
Communicate production status, equipment conditions, and potential issues between shifts
Support continuous improvement and production efficiency initiatives
Follow all company safety procedures and policies
Wear required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or incidents to management
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to accurately complete time reporting and work order documentation
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
Ability to obtain forklift certification
Experience operating injection molding machines
Experience with compounders, pelletizers, dryers, or similar production equipment
Frequent standing and walking during the shift
Occasional climbing of stairs or steps
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach above shoulder height
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Manufacturing / production environment
Moderate to high noise levels
Exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals depending on work area
PPE required at all times
