Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the departments productivity and quality goals are met. As a leader in integrity and quality, the Manufacturing Associate I is part of a cohesive team manufacturing high-quality products. This diverse and exciting role cross-trains in different value streams based on the changing needs of the business. You will interact fluidly with peers, supervisors, and cross-functionally work with Quality Control, Logistics, and Process Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify needed raw materials, tools, and equipment to perform basic machine operations and/or assembly work.
  • Use calipers, verniers, and other measuring devices to perform and evaluate work.
  • Perform assistance on multiple machine setups and basic operations to prepare process and inspect parts for optimal quality and output.
  • Perform routine basic machine maintenance and cleaning.
  • Complete daily documentation and reporting metrics accurately and on time as outlined.
  • Package products and materials appropriately for other areas to bring workflow to completion.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and communicate between departments and notify leaders and engineers of issues.
  • Work cross-functionally in designated areas to support business needs, such as extrusion molding, trimming, and splicing.
  • Support company LEAN and High-Performance team objectives and initiatives to promote company culture through assisting with training, shadowing, and filling out team improvement board information and/or Starpoint.
  • Sustain Safety and 5S program, use appropriate PPE for designated areas, which can include painting, clean room environments.
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident Status required.
  • GED or High School Diploma required.
  • 0-1 years of manufacturing experience required.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-to-eye coordination a plus.
  • Ability to read work orders and blueprints a plus.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to perform basic math, reading, writing, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and use of computers with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand basic English required.
  • Ability to stand for long durations up to 8 hours and lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
  • Comfortable working daily around hazardous chemicals.
